You have the opportunity to work alongside experts, grow, and make an impact with us – joining a fun and thriving team. To complete our team we are looking for a LabX Product Manager 100% (all genders).

You will be translating market signals into concrete outcomes, and work in cross‑functional teams (Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Sales) to deliver maximum commercial and user value to maintain and grow METTLER TOLEDO’s leadership in the laboratory software market.

Partner daily with engineering teams and product designers to ship high‑quality iterations ensuring the delivered functions provide real business value. Act as the principal product expert for our local sales and service teams: conduct expert product training, application support, and technical sales enablement.

A range of additional attractive benefits, including employee discounts at select area businesses. It is used across pharmaceutical, chemical, food and beverage, battery, semiconductor industries, and more, serving both small companies and large multinational key accounts.

LabX empowers our customers to create smart, automated labs that drive digital transformation through AI‑driven insights, boosting productivity, reducing complexity, and ensuring data compliance. This role is based in our global headquarters in Nänikon‑Greifensee (close to Zurich), Switzerland.

In this role, your responsibilities include: Oversee the complete lifecycle of your assigned product portfolio, from New Product Development & Introduction (NPDI) to strategic phase‑out and obsolescence planning.

Define use cases based on continuous primary customer research in which unarticulated pain points are uncovered focusing on the why, what, and when. Identify strategic growth opportunities through an in‑depth understanding of market segments, workflows, applications, and competitors.

Define use cases and ruthlessly prioritize functionality based on strategic alignment, technical feasibility, and projected return on investment (ROI). Launch product‑increments globally to the market together with the LabX Marketing Manager and do all market communication.

While working with them gather business insights and market feedback from them. Develop and maintain effective sales and service materials to support sales channels, ensuring efficient product selling and service delivery.

What You Need to Succeed Master’s degree in engineering or natural sciences (preferably in Chemistry or Biotechnology), or related field. Some experience in software product management, ideally in a larger organization within the laboratory software industry or similar B2B software environments.

Practical experience working in laboratories and/or with significant customer segments such as Pharma, Chemical, Life Sciences, Food, or Testing Labs is highly desirable. A curious and self‑driven mindset, passionate about venturing into new territories with an entrepreneurial spirit. A blend of analytical, structured, and visionary thinking.

Excellent interpersonal, cross‑cultural communication, negotiation, and networking skills. Strong technical acumen to translate complex software concepts into intuitive, user‑friendly products. Fluent in English (oral and written); German language skills are a plus.

Our Offer to You Flexible working hours (depending on the role), a hybrid work model, and a wide portfolio of training opportunities. A 40‑hour work week with at least 25 vacation days per year, plus 4 to 7 additional days off between bank holidays. Free parking and direct access to public transport.

Healthy lunches cooked onsite at our own METTLER TOLEDO restaurant, with special prices for employees. Equal Opportunity Employment We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.

We give consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, or any other protected classification.
