Provide marketing input to support priority pursuits and bids in collaboration with the broader MCBD and Business and Markets team.

Take responsibility for team deliverables, time and quality expectations. Support the team to connect their solutions to bigger picture issues. Proven ability to manage significant projects through collaborative team‑based approaches and effective project and stakeholder management.

Opportunity As Marketing Manager, Transport, EIMEA, you will develop and implement Arup’s integrated marketing and communications plan for the Transport business across selected geographies.

You will help position Arup at the forefront of working with cities, transport authorities, operators and contractors to create smarter, lower‑carbon transport systems that connect people, places and economies.

The role partners with the business to enable the full capability of the Marketing Communications Business Development (MCBD) function against Arup’s business priorities and market plans.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Marketing Provide strategic marketing expertise to support the Transport business in understanding and assessing the market, including competitor landscape, to inform strategic decisions, business plans, service propositions and market positioning.

Offer strategic marketing advice and support to Transport Business Leaders, drawing on the full capability of the MCBD function as required. Collaborate with MCBD colleagues in developing and implementing marketing plans, including input on region and client context, competitor landscape, market challenges and opportunities.

Marketing & Communications Campaigns and Sales Enablement Promote and maintain market awareness of Arup’s credentials in the Transport market, ensuring alignment with global positioning, messages and materials across all channels.

Lead the adoption of global marketing and communications campaigns across the region, localising and augmenting to ensure market relevance and client resonance. Develop and implement region‑wide marketing and communications campaigns and sales enablement plans in collaboration with MCBD to leverage specialist capabilities within the function.

Curate and highlight Arup’s credentials by overseeing the creation and promotion of compelling project case studies, thought‑leadership articles, reports, client stories and targeted award entries.

Work with Marketing Managers from other portfolios to incorporate service offerings and related credentials into value propositions for market/business‑led marketing and communications campaigns and sales enablement initiatives.

Industry Engagement Partner with business stakeholders and others in MCBD to identify, assess and proactively manage Arup’s relationships with strategically important and regionally significant industry and business associations to enhance reputation, broaden market reach and build relationships with clients, target clients and industry influencers.

Integrate industry engagement into marketing and communications plans and campaigns, negotiating and optimising high‑value opportunities aligned to achieving defined marketing and business outcomes.

Client Engagement Create opportunities for relationship building and lead generation through targeted marketing and communications campaigns and initiatives.

Support a high level of awareness and understanding of Arup’s market credentials, capabilities and business priorities among client‑facing members and those involved in client relationship management and business development.

Assessing Return on Investment (ROI) and Sharing Best Practice Monitor and assess ROI on marketing and communications campaigns and sales enablement programmes against industry standards and benchmarks, identifying and acting on continuous improvement opportunities.

Critically assess marketing and communications opportunities and make sound recommendations to stakeholders to optimise ROI. Leadership Supervise the tasks of junior members. Set a culture of excellence, accuracy and attention to detail. Encourage collaboration with others.

Provide feedback and effective performance management of direct reports, where applicable. Plan continued professional development for self and others, deepening own specialisation. Act as a strong contributor to and user of skills networks. Is This Role Right for You?

Undergraduate, further degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Marketing, Business, Management, Commerce or Economics; and/or a postgraduate professional qualification or accreditation in marketing.

Highly skilled and visionary leader with a strong track record in professional services marketing, good knowledge of Transport markets and a drive to shape resilient, low‑carbon transport networks.

Relevant experience in senior strategic marketing roles within mature marketing and communications functions, across a wide range of marketing disciplines (marketing strategy and planning, research and analytics, new product and service development, marketing communications, digital and social media marketing, strategic account management and account‑based marketing).

Ability to develop and deliver relevant, effective marketing plans, campaigns and initiatives that deliver a sound return on investment. Ability to proactively use data to identify opportunities and inform improvements to marketing initiatives. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Commercial acumen.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening and influencing. Proven ability to build effective organisational networks and trust‑based, highly collaborative working relationships with peers, leaders and other stakeholders.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Creative and open‑minded approach, confident to explore new ideas and contribute fresh perspectives in a collaborative environment.
