Darum lohnt es sich
A career at trivago is a journey designed for people who crave continuous development and want to thrive in a high‑performing team. Join trivago, work with a great team, and grow with us.
You thrive when strategy and execution are firmly in your hands—building rigorous business cases, designing clear experimentation agendas, and leading cross‑functional teams from insight to shipped product.
Responsibilities Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for retention & monetization areas, driving direction with a high level of autonomy and influencing priorities across multiple teams, backed by quantified opportunities (LTV, contribution margin, conversion, repeat behavior).
No coding required, but can partner effectively with engineering and data teams and understand system constraints and trade‑offs. Benefits Self‑determined vacation (minimum 25 days), flexible working hours, up to 2 work‑from‑home days weekly.
Visa support from our talent support team, a relocation package, interest‑free newcomer loan, free language classes, and regular team and company‑wide events to build experiences together. By comparing prices from major booking sites, we're making it easy for people to find hotels they want at a price they'll love.
In the lively city of Düsseldorf, we seize opportunities to learn everyday, innovate, and make an enduring mark on the travel industry. Here you will find those who aren't afraid of change but rather embrace it, turning every challenge into a pathway for growth. Join us in making a difference.
At trivago, our product organization is focused on outcomes that drive real user value and meaningful business impact. We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to own strategy and execution for key monetization levers—spanning loyalty mechanics, pricing optimization, deal value, and retention across core user journeys.
This is a role with genuine commercial ownership and the autonomy to shape direction across a multi‑quarter roadmap. You’ll partner closely with Analytics, Data Science, UX, Research, and Engineering, influencing decisions at the intersection of user experience and commercial performance.
Build and defend business cases for new initiatives—model trade‑offs, pressure‑test assumptions with real data, and influence stakeholders on investment priorities and expected returns.
Lead structured discovery end‑to‑end—identify and validate high‑impact opportunities, quantify expected impact (uplift ranges, confidence levels, cost of delay), and connect them to a clear KPI framework.
Own the full experimentation agenda—hypothesis framing, test design, sequencing, and guardrails—driving fast learning while protecting user trust and making decisions from results. Lead Analytics, Data Science, UX, Research, and Engineering from insight to shipped product—maintaining clarity on commercial and user outcomes throughout.
Act as integrator across Finance, Marketing/CRM, Supply, and Legal where relevant. Mentor less experienced product managers and actively contribute to product management processes and practices across the company.
Qualifications 6‑12+ years of product management experience with a proven track record of shipping and scaling complex, data‑driven initiatives—ideally spanning monetization, growth, pricing, or retention in a consumer product.
Strong commercial and analytical rigor—comfortable with experimentation results, cohort analysis, and opportunity sizing, and able to make principled decisions when metrics trade off against each other. Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
Influences across functions and levels, articulates trade‑offs crisply, and drives alignment—including with senior leadership. Technical fluency. High bar for UX. Knows monetization works best when value is clear and the experience feels seamless.
A genuine learning mindset—approaches challenges with curiosity, seeks out feedback, and continuously looks for ways to develop and grow. A performance mindset—sets ambitious goals for yourself and has the determination and resilience to follow through and achieve them.
An open and curious mindset toward AI tools and automation—actively explores how AI can enhance your work and is excited to grow alongside evolving technologies. You can also work remotely from a different location within Germany or selected countries abroad for up to 20 days per year.
Free access to the Heycare platform for personalized nanny assistance and an on‑campus kids room. Personalized coaching through Nilo and a range of up‑to‑free learning opportunities—workshops, educational meetups, conferences, online learning courses, and a fully‑equipped campus library.
Daily canteen budget for lunch with colleagues, complimentary snacks and drinks in the kitchens, variety of fitness options with an on‑site gym, sports classes, Urban Sports Club membership, and ergonomic desks with focused work areas. Thank you for considering a career at trivago!
Our commitment to fostering an inclusive and enriching environment for all talents is at the heart of what we do. Should any questions arise before you apply, feel free to reach out to us at joinus@trivago.com. We look forward to your application! #J-18808-Ljbffr
