Responsibilities Articulate, communicate and execute product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with company goals and business priorities, constantly applying feedback to deliver on key expectations.
Manage product lifecycle from cradle to grave, closely monitoring product performance and leveraging customer feedback and data to identify areas for improvement and optimization at each stage. Embrace change and drive organizational agility by adapting to evolving market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive pressures.
Influence the decision‑making process for all product‑related decisions, proactively anticipating and addressing critical issues.
Leverage intel on customer workflows & applications, market research, competitive landscape, industry trends, and emerging technologies, validating such intel with first‑hand interactions with key customers to identify unmet needs and market opportunities.
Derive sound business cases from customer needs and market trends to drive critical decisions and align key stakeholders around them. Champion own product portfolio both internally and externally, interacting with key customers and acting upon their feedback, building relationships with KOLs to enhance Sartorius’ reputation and credibility.
Lead product development to prioritize and develop new product offerings for the portfolio without direct authority, balancing multiple priorities to meet requirements and deadlines. Provide a deep understanding of the product and essential requirements for connectivity required to integrate into relevant unit operations within the workflow.
If complex customer questions arise that the PM cannot personally answer, act as the entry point for product development to provide technical clarification. Develop value propositions, unique selling points, and price positioning for the product portfolio, ensuring they are properly communicated to the market.
Leverage deep understanding of the technology behind the product and its applications to develop solutions, adapting them to changing circumstances based on customer needs and market dynamics to maintain a competitive advantage.
Seasoned professional with several years of experience in Life Science, with at least the first years in a customer‑facing role, ideally in sales or within a customer in the pharma industry. Experience across different functions (product development, operations, sales, marketing, etc.) is a major plus.
Good understanding of customer workflows, needs and related market dynamics, coupled with strong ability to translate such understanding into customer‑centric solutions and orchestrate their launch and implementation. Outstanding presence, influencing and presentation skills to engage with key stakeholders at eye level in a compelling way.
Excellent communication skills across and within large, diverse groups and audiences. Exceptional strategic thinking combined with commercial ability to translate business ambitions into winning products.
Outstanding decision‑making skills, able to make complex and timely decisions in line with available data, strategic context and professional values when there are unknowns. Proven ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic, flexible environment. Fluent in English; additional European language is an advantage.
