Thales in Germany, in partnership with Google Cloud, is creating a 100% German business unit that provides a concrete response to the strict requirements of the BSI.

We are building a locally and fully autonomously operated “Trusted Cloud” that offers the broadest service portfolio on the market while everything remains strictly under European jurisdiction. By combining German and French standards such as SecNumCloud, C5 and C3‑A, we offer our customers unequaled resilience and business continuity.

Responsibilities A unique mission: To offer German companies and administrations a “Trusted Cloud” combining the technological power of Google with the military‑grade security of Thales. Act as Product Manager for the Sovereign Cloud in a demanding environment where regulatory compliance (C5 catalog) meets cutting‑edge innovation.

Transform the strategic vision into a concrete, technical roadmap: define and manage the product vision, translate complex technology concepts (infrastructure, cybersecurity, API) into value‑creating features, prioritize with firmness and discernment in a context of strong technical and regulatory constraints, and work closely with Thales and Google Cloud engineers to ensure interoperability and security.

Qualifications 10+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Strategy, or leading complex technology initiatives, ideally within Cloud, Infrastructure, Platform, SaaS, or other highly regulated environments.

Knowledge of Sovereign Cloud and regulatory awareness: understanding of data sovereignty, cloud security, and compliance requirements; experience with GDPR, NIS2, BSI C5, EUCS, SecNumCloud, or comparable standards.

Strategic product leadership: ability to translate customer, market, regulatory, and technical requirements into a clear product vision, roadmap, and execution strategy while balancing long‑term objectives with measurable business outcomes.

Entrepreneurial mindset and execution excellence: thrive in fast‑paced and evolving environments, comfortable operating in ambiguity, and proactively establish processes, frameworks, and operating models that enable scale and growth.
