Senior Product Manager - AI Gateway
Anzeige auf Englisch
This role owns the Gateway credits experience, so new n8n Cloud users can run AI workflows on day one without setting up their own provider keys. It also covers negotiating deals with model and tool providers, setting pricing and packaging, and shaping an enterprise AI gateway with features like budgets, access policies and audit. A strong candidate has product management experience in AI infrastructure or developer platforms, has negotiated real vendor terms, understands usage-based pricing and forecasting, and can talk comfortably with platform and security buyers.
How it fits the AI era
AI models are becoming a basic utility inside automation, and this role sits at the point where access to them is decided, priced and controlled. AI tools can help with analysis of usage data, drafting specs and prototyping, but the judgment on which providers to back, how to price, and what to build or stop stays with a person. Negotiating with providers and earning trust from enterprise security and IT teams are human work.
How it builds AI experience
The role offers close, daily exposure to how many AI models and services are bought, metered, priced and governed at scale, plus how enterprises want to control AI spend and access. Someone preparing for it could try n8n, build a few AI workflows, and explore an open source gateway tool to see where credential and billing friction shows up. Writing a short pricing and cost forecast for a model-backed feature is also good practice.
Worth showing
- AI gateway or LLM tooling work
- Usage-based pricing and forecasting
- Enterprise discovery and strategy
