Leads PayPal’s AML/KYC product strategy for EU markets, translating EU AMLD, EUDIW, and regulatory expectations into scalable, customer‑centric solutions. Owns end‑to‑end delivery across onboarding, identity verification, and compliance controls. Individual contributor.

Essential Responsibilities Drive product strategy with cross‑functional stakeholders consistent with the shared vision. Plan and implement the architectural roadmap that balances innovative design, technical implementation, regulatory requirements, time‑to‑market, customer needs, and product profitability.

Assess customer experience and needs in product requirements and decision making. Set up data gathering mechanisms to inform success metrics, including usability studies, research, and market analysis. Lead workstreams for analytics, customer discovery, market research, and competitive analysis to drive data‑driven decision‑making.

Oversee product profitability measures, including budget. Plan operational mechanisms that drive execution and accountability, including product, operating, and business reviews. Partner with content strategists, data scientists, product designers, and UX researchers.

Maximise efficiency in a constantly evolving environment, ensuring creative solutions and process fluidity. Minimum Qualifications 8+ years of relevant experience. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications Experience delivering products in regulated environments with engagement with compliance, legal, or regulatory stakeholders. Familiarity with EU AML regulatory framework (AMLD5/AMLD6, upcoming AMLA) and eIDAS 2.0/EUDIW.

Champions innovative, risk‑based KYC approaches leveraging data, technology, and experimentation. Drives alignment across Legal, Compliance, Policy, Risk, Engineering, Design, and regional leadership to ensure cohesive execution of AML/KYC initiatives.

What Do You Need to Bring 8+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in financial services, fintech, or payments—particularly in compliance, KYC/AML, or identity verification product domains.

Proven track record delivering products in regulated environments, including engagement with compliance, legal, or external regulatory stakeholders. Strong understanding of EU AML regulatory framework and eIDAS/EUDIW. Healthcare coverage for employee and family. Resources supporting financial security and mental health.
