Strong English communication skills, including the ability to read English product documentation, API documentation, technical specifications, and communicate effectively with English‑speaking team members.

Experience working in international companies, overseas work environments, cross‑border teams, or study‑abroad backgrounds is preferred, but not required. Ability to communicate effectively with backend engineers, technical leads, QA teams, and product delivery teams. Must be a proactive, reliable, and responsible team player.

Experience working with remote, offshore, or cross‑time‑zone teams. We are looking for someone who can work independently in a remote environment, communicate clearly across teams, and help engineering, QA, design, and business stakeholders stay aligned.

The right candidate does not need to be a software engineer, but must have enough technical understanding to work confidently with engineering teams and define product logic with precision.

Pay From $110,000.00 per year Benefits 401(k) Health insurance Paid time off Work Location Remote #J-18808-Ljbffr Overview We are looking for a System Product Manager to lead the upstream product planning, system logic design, and product specification phase of our SaaS product lifecycle.

In this role, you will analyze leading competitors, identify structural gaps in the market, and translate complex business requirements into clear product logic, system workflows, PRDs, diagrams, and implementation‑ready specifications.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable reading product documentation, API documentation, and technical specifications; mapping backend logic; understanding relational data structures; and defining state‑machine logic for complex product flows.

This role is remote / work from home and will require strong communication, ownership, and cross‑functional collaboration with product, engineering, QA, design, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities System Logic & Product Architecture Analyze leading SaaS platforms in the spa, wellness, beauty, salon, med spa, booking, and local service industries. Conduct competitor research and reverse‑engineering at a product structure, workflow, and system logic level.

Identify product gaps, workflow inefficiencies, user experience issues, and market opportunities. Translate business goals and product concepts into clear system logic, product workflows, and execution‑ready requirements.

Define logic for complex platform capabilities such as memberships, packages, rebooking flows, deposits, cancellation policies, refunds, and payment states. Map how new product capabilities connect with core data entities, database relationships, and backend system rules.

Design clear state transitions, exception handling, and edge‑case logic for complex workflows. PRD, Workflow, and System Documentation Write detailed, clear, and actionable Product Requirement Documents. Create system logic diagrams, workflow diagrams, sequence diagrams, and functional specification documents.

Clearly document the relationship between user experience flows, backend / API communication, and database state changes. Define product logic for payments, memberships, packages, bookings, cancellations, deposits, refunds, card‑on‑file flows, and related platform features.

Lead or participate in regular system handoff and delivery alignment meetings. Clarify product logic, technical dependencies, system behavior, and scope before development begins. Partner with stakeholders to define and protect MVP scope, reduce feature bloat, and keep major launch milestones on track.

Identify unclear requirements, system logic gaps, API issues, data dependencies, and potential implementation risks before they become blockers. Ensure product decisions and system logic are documented clearly and communicated effectively.

QA, UAT, and Product Optimization Support UAT from a product logic, user experience, and market‑readiness perspective. Review product features to ensure they meet high‑quality user experience standards, logical accuracy, and business scenario completeness. Help define and track key user events, product metrics, and conversion points.

Use data and user behavior insights to identify drop‑off points, workflow friction, and product optimization opportunities. Support ongoing product improvements based on user feedback, market standards, and business priorities.

Requirements Bachelor’s degree or above preferred, ideally in Product Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Engineering, Design, or a related field. 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, System Product Manager, Systems Analyst, Product Architect, SaaS Product Manager, Platform Product Manager, or a Software Engineer who has transitioned into a product‑focused role.

Experience with B2B SaaS, fintech/payments, multi‑tenant platforms, marketplace platforms, booking systems, or local service platforms is highly preferred. Mandarin Chinese is a plus, but not required. Strong understanding of database relationships, ERDs, RESTful APIs, state‑machine logic, and system workflows.

Strong ability to break down complex product requirements into clear workflows, rules, diagrams, and actionable specifications. Strong logical thinking, structured communication, and problem‑solving skills. Comfortable working in a fast‑moving startup environment with ambiguity and changing priorities.

Strong communication, collaboration, and ownership mindset. Nice to Have Experience in spa, wellness, beauty, salon, med spa, or local service industries. Experience with payment systems, deposits, refunds, cancellation policies, memberships, packages, subscriptions, or card‑on‑file workflows.

Experience with Jira, Confluence, Linear, Notion, Figma, Miro, Lucidchart, Whimsical, Draw.io, or similar tools. Experience with AI‑assisted documentation, workflow generation, competitive research, and product specification writing. Experience building products for the U.S. market, especially merchant‑facing SaaS or consumer booking platforms.

This person should be able to understand both user experience and backend logic, and translate complex business scenarios into clear product requirements, workflows, diagrams, and system rules.

This role is best suited for someone who is proactive, reliable, logical, fast‑moving, and comfortable working in a startup environment where ownership, clarity, and communication are critical.
