Reporting to the Senior Director of Scientific Computing, this role operates as a senior individual contributor with broad influence across scientific, engineering, and enterprise technology teams.

Scientific Computing Product Manager is responsible for shaping and driving the strategy, adoption, and evolution of scientific computing products and platforms that enable computational and data‑intensive research across the organization.

This position serves as a strategic bridge between scientific users in both REDs, Scientific Computing products, and organizational management, ensuring that security, compliance and computing capabilities align with evolving research priorities and deliver measurable impact.

Success in this role requires the ability to influence without direct authority, navigate ambiguity, and connect long‑term platform strategy with practical researcher needs. Define and oversee the long‑term product strategy and roadmap for scientific computing platforms and services.

Translate scientific and technical requirements into clear product direction, priorities, and measurable outcomes. Align product strategies with broader organizational goals in scientific computing, data, and AI/ML enablement. Develop a strong understanding of computational and data‑intensive scientific workflows across research domains.

Advocate for user‑centered product design that improves accessibility, usability, and reproducibility. Serve as a cross‑functional leader working across Scientific Computing and the enterprise IT organization. Influence roadmap prioritization and delivery through partnership, collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

Define success metrics related to adoption, platform reliability, workflow efficiency, and user satisfaction. Who You Are Advanced degree in computational sciences, engineering, mathematics or equivalent experience. 6+ years of experience in an academic research setting, life sciences, or pharmaceutical research organization.

Significant experience in scientific computing, research IT, computational science or related technical domains. Strong understanding of scientific computing ecosystems, including HPC environments and cloud infrastructure. Hands‑on experience with HPC workload schedulers and computational research support models.

Familiarity with Kubernetes, containerization, and cloud-native computing environments. Ability to bridge scientific, technical, and business domains through strong interdisciplinary communication. Ability to balance long‑term platform investments with near‑term delivery needs to ensure value and delivery.
