Role Overview Staff Product Marketing Manager, Security reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Marketing.

Responsibilities Identity Security GTM Strategy: Build and execute the go-to-market strategy for Okta’s foundational access and authentication platform, defining how core authentication, adaptive policy, and recovery flows serve as the first line of defense against modern identity-based attacks.

Analyst & Industry Presence: Represent Okta at security events, raising the profile and establishing a unique point of view, and engage with analysts to ensure Okta’s foundational security capabilities are recognized as the core of a modern security posture.

Deep experience with modern identity protocols and securing hybrid environments (Cloud and On-Premises). #J-18808-Ljbffr This role is a critical lead in Okta’s security journey, telling the company’s security story in a compelling and cohesive manner.

Technical Evangelism & Demos: Move beyond high-level messaging to create "show-not-tell" technical content, building and delivering product demonstrations, technical reference architectures, and briefs that prove Okta’s security value to technical buyers.

Security Storytelling: Own the messaging, positioning, and competitive differentiation for core access technologies, turning under-the-hood technology into a simple, urgent, business-focused story that highlights resilience and risk mitigation.

AI-Driven Identity Leadership: Define the strategy for securing the new wave of AI, establishing Okta’s point of view on managing AI agents as identities and hardening the access layer for an automated, high-velocity threat landscape.

Cross-Functional Activation: Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales to build technical buyer-focused assets—including technical comparisons, FAQs, and field enablement materials specifically designed for the Global 2000.

Qualifications Domain Expertise: 8+ years of experience as a product marketer or product manager in cybersecurity or identity management (IAM, AD, or Entra ID). Knowledge of market players, gaps, and winning opportunities.

Hands-on Technical Proficiency: Track record of supporting technical evaluations and comfort configuring and demoing the product to technical buyers. Execution-Oriented Storytelling: Proven ability to turn under-the-hood technology into an emotional and urgent business story, rising above the noise to create a sense of urgency.

Strategic Integration: Understanding of how foundational identity signals (e.g., MFA and policy) feed into broader security outcomes like threat detection and incident response. Stakeholder Management: Experience managing senior stakeholders with differing priorities and a high sense of urgency to drive end-to-end GTM initiatives.

Additional Preferred Experience CS Degree or strong technical background in systems architecture or engineering.
