Procurement Specialist - FMCG Raw Materials (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Procurement Specialist to manage the sourcing of raw materials for their FMCG product lines, operating in a fully remote capacity. This role is vital for ensuring the consistent supply of high-quality raw materials at competitive prices, directly impacting product cost and availability. You will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers, managing contracts, and maintaining strong supplier relationships. This position requires a proactive approach to supply chain management and a deep understanding of procurement best practices within the FMCG sector, all executed from a remote workspace.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and procure raw materials and ingredients required for FMCG production .
• Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers, ensuring reliability and quality.
• Analyze market trends and supplier capabilities to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Manage supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, and conducting regular performance reviews.
• Collaborate with R&D, Production, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure materials meet specifications and quality standards.
• Process purchase orders, manage inventory levels of raw materials, and ensure timely delivery.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably within the FMCG industry or a related manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record in negotiating contracts and achieving cost savings on raw material purchases.
• Strong understanding of supply chain management, inventory control, and supplier relationship management.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
